Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

This rapidly became a family favourite. It is nice and moist. It allegedly freezes well, but it has never lasted long enough here for me to try that.

3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
¾ cups milks
12 oz miniature chocolate chips ( or more.....)


Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour a 10” fluted tube pan.

Combine dry ingredients and set aside. Beat sugar, butter and vanilla until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in flour mixture, alternately with milk. By hand stir in chocolate chips.


Pour into prepared pan and bake 70-80 minutes. Cool in pan 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
